The broken repetition of the final line was also super heavy handed in terms of the cinematography, imo

I think it would have worked much better as a short film. It feels almost as if someone took a short story like A Sound of Thunder and tried to stretch it past feature length

I’m not generally one to complain about “unnecessary sex scenes,” but they legitimately took up too much of the runtime in this case

Even if you cut just the sex scenes, though, it would still be far too long for its fairly simple allegory
