When we start formally studying animation, we want to incorporate our concepts into our assignments and start posting those here. That's when the real fun will begin! For now though, we really must shut up and quit procrastinating on other adult responsibilities...so that'll be a wrap on day 1!

It'll be very interesting to look back on how we progress from here in artistic ability and in the ways characters develop both visually and in how they are written. At current we have 2-3 concepts to run with. We will start small and work our way up in complexity!

We have been lovers of animation and science fiction since we were kids. We wrote fanfiction on Word over a dial up connection to post to fanfiction.net. We have always loved to write, but aside from some high school art classes, we aren't particularly artistically gifted. NO animation experience

We have our first follower while we are just talking to ourselves like a weirdo? How unexpected & embarrassing 😂 We have not even really fleshed out this profile yet. We better get on that.

Aside from learning animation, the other topic currently on our mind is copywriting our IP. Research time!

We are hopeful about the ways in which the flock will grow in the coming years. What amazing new friends will we meet along the way, I wonder!

We also hope that someday there will be others who will read back to day one of our journey and be inspired. These are the humble beginnings of Unexpected Chicken. This is where it started. These are our first steps. Look how far we have come. Reader, begin your own journey! We believe in you!

The purpose of this account at least for now is to hold "us" accountable. We hope to continue to post updates as we make progress toward realizing our goals. We hope to one day look back on this to reflect on how far we've come.

Day 1 - About "us" - "We" are a one hen operation at the time of this post. "We" are a 34 year old chicken enthusiast with a Bachelors of Science degree. "We" are a depressed military veteran and small business owner feeling inspired to pursue a childhood dream. These are our humble beginnings.

So we've got the name/title, we've got ideas to run with...guess we'd better learn to animate next. We might be doing this a bit out of order.
