There was a great bug in BG3 where you could loophole Wyll's initial quest by killing Karlach from stealth, telling Wyll, then hitting Karlach with a revivify scroll.
Wyll followed his patron's orders and gets the reward robes, and Karlach gets to live. Win Win!
...and then Larian patched it out
