Snowy way at the side of a forest. Some yellow and red leaves still cling to the smaller trees i front of dark green evergreens. There are tracks in the snow from a car and exactly one person in the middle of the car tracks. Nobody is on the picture.

Okay, set-up done. Let's go wake him up, should we?
Whatever they would find inside the coffin, it called for San, making his heart beat for entirely different reasons than the previous fear. San stepped closer to inspect the outside. The lid was decorated with religious symbols, mostly crosses made out of cast iron. It looked like it’d been built just the day before, not a flake of dust, not a speck of rust anywhere on it like it had been preserved in time in a way the rest of the villa hadn’t. By the time San looked for the hinges Jongho had shaken off his shock and stepped next to him, the curiosity blatant on his face. Yes, they would open it. Yeah, that might be the reason women lived longer than men. The clasps and hinges were just as intact as the rest of the casket. They opened without resistance and just like that San was face to face to a man. He was beautiful. A lot of thought had to step behind this discovery. The man looked like he was in his twenties. His facial features were razor sharp. The closed eyes lined in kohl, the pink lips slightly open. In contrast his hair fell down in fluffy waves almost touching his shoulders. San had fallen in love with this face four years earlier and the real one was maybe even more beautiful than the portrait from centuries ago. The suit he wore was as pristine as the rest of the coffin, but was equally outdated as the painting had been. Just no shoes were in sight. His naked feet were dangling just a bit over the ground which was probably related to the wooden stake in his heart, pinning him neatly to the back of the casket. He was, all things considered, very probably dead. San also expected him to open his eyes any moment. He didn’t. Very much nothing happened. After a while, Jongho very politely cleared his throat. “So, uhm, Vampires?”

I always wanted to do a wip wednesday but lacked the progress before. Well, here's the idea I had this morning since everything else still doesn't want to progress.

"So, are you Team Wooyoung or Team Yunho?" Jongho looked up to the dancer, Hunter if he gathered correctly, who placed a beer in front of him. The expectant eyes from all sides told Jongho they all just waited for their crewmate to come back with their order before placing the question. It seemed to have some importance, but frankly Jongho was very much too new to gather it or to have an answer to it. He thanked the young man and opted for diplomacy to answer his question. "Dunno, they both seem cool and they know their stuff." The collective groan made it clear that this was not what the boys had hoped for. "This is no fun. You need to pick a side. It's tradition.", one of them pouted. Jongho hadn't gotten the names from all of them yet. He'd barely been able to keep Hunter's name in his head since they had been talking on the way from the dance studio to the bar. For now he knew them even less than the two instructors. "But how could I choose yet? I had one class with each of them and for ninety percent of it had to concentrate not to fall over my own feet." The answer pushed the group into a state of chaos. Some of them were quick to assure he did very well (with some low blows inbetween when they added a "for his age") while some tried to pry some impressions of one instructor or the other out of him. It gave Jongho the chance to take a breath while they sorted themselves out. It was nice to hear the youngsters say he could keep up but he felt like hanging by a thread. He wondered if there was still smoke coming out of his ears from trying to memorize the choreo and his calves were already burning. He'd walk like a zombie tomorrow from sore muscles. He was horribly out of shape since joining the workforce after college two years ago. Sure, he hit the gym every once in a while, but it wasn't the same as when he was active almost every day before. In college it was mostly ball games. Soccer was his favorite, but trying to find enough people for kicking the ball regularly was bordering impossible with an adult's schedule. He had been dancing before - and not too bad he could say - and wanted to give it a try again. It felt promising: he could do it in a group to keep motivated, but didn't have to coordinate a dozen schedules to make it happen. The classes were at a set time and if someone couldn't make it, the rest still had their workout. The studio he found on recommendation. He'd signed up for his first beginner class on Monday and then in a case of hybris also booked the all levels class right after. He regretted it a little on Tuesday but not enough to stop him from doing the same thing on today's Thursday. The beginner classes were great to refresh his muscle memory and he would need them for a while longer, but the all level classes were fun in the most humbling way. They were dominated by the adult crew which trained at the same time as the beginners one floor down, so of course the teachers turned up the pace for them. They made sure to reassure the beginners, but Jongho relished not being coddled. It woke his natural ambition. Maybe a bit too much, considering the way he felt now, but it earned him the appreciation of the crew members and an invite to their round of drinks after class. The other dancers outside the crew had all turned down, aching for their respective showers but Jongho thought whatever. The boys had even harder two hours behind them than he, they were all stinky and he liked the atmosphere they created in classes. He could imagine to become a regular, so he wanted to get to know them.
