I've been told this is the chosen replacement for ecks, so hi! I'm a white guy on Youtube so obviously I make video essays. You can find those on youtube.com/@UnholyBasil

Also, did you know that snails traditionally mate with their eye stalks? They just poke each other's heads and oh okay bye

So I'm very happy to be a Christmas baby. I think Christmas is a lovely holiday, and I'm grateful I was born on a day that's meant to spread love and cheer to others.

Clarifying so that when I ask the Christians out there to kindly not preach to a crowded travel bus on the 26th, they might listen.

Oh btw I'm caught up on Sanda now and uh

I'm sorry for saying it wasn't good. Turns out it's actually fire

So I feel like I got jumped in an alleyway by Sanda. Yes, the 'd' is intentional.

I was gonna make a video about One Battle After Another to close the year out, but this more topical, in my wheelhouse, *and* I'm the Christmas baby.

I just wish it was a good show :/

You can love someone you love even if you don't love yourself🏳️‍⚧️
But if you love yourself, you can love both yourself and the person you love. Your love becomes twofold.
So take care of yourself.
Your soul is beautiful.

I think the fact that I do not give one iota of a shit if my job approves my time-off requests anymore is a testament to the incredibly low value the average job in the States has.

Watched Castle in the Sky for the first time tonight. Obviously great movie, 10/10.

There's some good symbolism in the way the spell to find Laputa was 6-8 words, but the spell to destroy it was only one. It's so much easier to destroy than it is to search and find ... But the latter means way more

Can't decide if this is a sign the internet has gone too far or a semi-wholesome unveiling of exciting new places to explore.

Either way I think I'm in love?

Real time data coming out of the world’s climate measurement systems should be stopping us in our tracks. The latest estimate shows that, this week, the Earth is 1.9°C warmer than before we began burning fossil fuels.

Why does my brain pump me full of anxiety while I'm out and about and only fires up the adrenaline receptors when I'm trying to sleep?

I think there could be a lot of value in a full-priced video game with gacha-style mechanics that ...

A. Doesn't allow you to buy pulls, you must acquire them via quests in-game.

B. Doesn't necessitate grinding for an eternity to make weapons/characters viable.

C. Generally respects players' time

Why are we 'cooking' when we're being impressive but 'cooked' when we're doomed?

I feel like you could make a sequel to the classic Sphinx riddle about humanity using those words: "What's elated while it's cooking but depressed when it's cooked?"

Could be good for a meme if anyone's inspired.

So I recently got my LG v60 ThinQ fixed, its battery got jostled after I dropped it and just needed to be physically reset in its socket. On an unrelated issue, I just checked my phone's battery settings.

The menu reads "non-removable battery." I watched someone remove it.

Your phone lies to you.

Some tips for breaking into tabletop RPG design! (1/9)

To create an RPG, you must first WRITE one. Pick a concept and go for it. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Just get something on the page. Your journey begins with that first paragraph.

The hardest part about being in a relationship is recognizing that you will never fully understand your partner. I'm discovering new things about myself every day, so it makes sense that I will never know all there is to know about my SO.

It's amazing and terrifying at the same time.
