Israeli strikes on Gaza City and other parts of the Gaza Strip continue. We call on Israel to ensure full protection of the lives of all civilians.

For the sake of all children in Gaza, this war must end now.

Statement from UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell: https://unicef.link/3KG01sT
In the last two years, a staggering 64,000 children have reportedly been killed or maimed across the Gaza Strip in a devastating war that is an affront to our shared humanity. Israeli strikes on Gaza City and other parts of the Gaza Strip continue. For the sake of all children in Gaza, this war must end now. - Catherine Russell, UNICEF Executive Director

Despite the conflict in #Sudan, health workers like Salha are doing whatever it takes to provide care to communities in need.

As a midwife for over two decades, Salha is dedicated to her patients: “Seeing a mother and baby safe after delivery is enough for me to come back the next day."

It’s been two years since the horrific attacks on children and communities in Israel by Hamas and other armed groups.

Killing, maiming and abducting children are grave violations of their rights.

Every child, everywhere, has the right to safety, care and protection.
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell: It’s been two years since the horrific attacks on children and communities in Israel by Hamas and other armed groups. The pain of 7 October endures, for the families of children who lost their lives, children torn from their families, and those living with the trauma of their experience. Killing, maiming and abducting children are unconscionable acts and grave violations of their rights.

Displaced from home by conflict in #Sudan, Amani gave birth on the side of the road. "I didn't know if I would live or die — or what would happen to my children if I didn't make it," she recalls.

With 70% of health facilities in Sudan no longer functioning, stories like Amani's are all too common.

We’re heartbroken to share that Jana has passed away from severe malnutrition.

This should not have been Jana’s life.

This should not be the life of any child in #Gaza.

The international community must continue to push for more aid to be allowed into Gaza and for a long-lasting #CeasefireNow.
