Today, we have formally asked the Trust to pause the consultation on non-frontline savings. We have serious concerns - failure to follow statutory obligations; failure to follow its own policies; failure to follow ACAS guidance. Members will be receiving a communication by email today.

We oppose reductions in NHS staff. It will not improve patient care. Instead, employers like SWAST should be helped to introduce better staff support and fair pay as part of a robust national plan for the NHS. Quality care comes from a workforce that is inspired and not demoralised by their employer

Did you know: Every single day last year, a staggering 47 ambulance staff were abused or attacked – two every hour of every day throughout the whole year. This represents an increase of 123% in reported incidents since records began eight years ago.
