I guess the trick is not to use too many parallel lines. I basically just combine 3 panel styles, but tilt the edges so it makes them more dynamic and have more variation. Just going with what feels right.

But I am glad to hear you appreciate the paneling!! This brings me motivation eee

The speech bubbles were drawn manually with a flat brush. Then just filled then with a white layer underneath with 80% opacity ^^
