I can't imagine who has insurance that would cover this. Most of these types of things have to be paid out of pocket. Eye and dental insurance cover checks maybe some maintenance services but nothing of real substance.

Imperialism is alive and well, or it was. You can thank trump that the US's ability to do that is rapidly waning and can soon blame China or the EU on the state of the world, whichever takes the reins.

The US has a pretty extensive history of deportation going back to the 1950s. If anything Trump did far less but mostly due to an incompetent administration, a trait his current admin is showing. Again, every country is balancing their immigration levels and many are facing backlashes for the rise.

Absolutely. It seems that most think this should be fixed while the administration is saying no. Most likely due to the absolute horror history story would paint.

Did it happen? We are trying to equate something that might have happened to something that is happening. And that deportations haven't always been a thing. All countries have limits on their immigration and asylum totals per year.

So keep everyone that can make it to the country? That doesn't sound very sustainable. I'm all for legal paths to citizenship and those systems need a major overhaul but the idea that we would have no deportation period is not possible. And Dems would lose trying to do that.

Let me check my notes. Yep, says right here that Biden deported about 4.7 mil, Obama deported 5.2 mil, and trump deported 2 mil. Small footnote, it doesn't appear that either Biden or Obama deported any to an El Salvador death camp or threatened legal citizens or residents with deportation.

We have seen this show before. This is a massive gun ban. And it will be fought in court and it will be struck down. This is not some massive win for Dems and I very much want them to win. People like you act like this type of legislation is a mainstream idea, it's not and it will lose votes.

Highly unintelligent? It's using your same argument. I'm ok with this so that's where the line should be, it's still a firearm. No legal reasoning needed and we absolutely know this will go in front of the Supreme Court and be struck down. So this is just playing to the base, no real changes.

So if they said everyone could only use black powder muskets your logic would hold. This law appeals to urban Democrats and pushes away everyone else. Another reason Dems lose.

How would it not? You couldn't even have a 10/22 under this law as it would ban the majority of modern firearms.

Running as an independent or against established Dems in primary challenges can help shift the part left and help realign it. Sanders has always come to caucus with Dems and to support them when it's the right decision.

Every major school utilizes grants for funding and research. It subsidies the costs and allows the US to benefit from much cheaper basic research systems then the private sector could due to students cutting much of the man power costs.
