Since he left office, W seems to be completely avoiding any visible connection to politics, US or otherwise. The Institute is speaking for him.
As egregious as Bush II's presidency was, what's at stake now is far more perilous--not just war in the middle East, but world war, and W knows it.

When I married, I also ended up with new holiday traditions--lefse is a big one! My MIL & her mother used to make it; now it's usually my husband & daughter. Doesn't seem like Christmas w/out a fine coat of flour all over the house...
And we're ALL thankful lutefisk isn't on the menu any more :)

Started drawing them when I was maybe 4?--on the headboard with a hairpin. My mother was not well pleased, but I knew where I was, so was not particularly fazed. :)
And I still love them, especially older maps--have a collection of early TX reprinted maps. Maps are history, too.

He froze & looked quite startled, but after a few seconds, he came to me, fell over, and curled up in my arms. It was highly unusual behavior for him. (Play comes first, always.)
The other cats ignore me when I say this, so who knows? Even if they do hear it as "come here", they ARE cats. :)

I love how all the Republicans who threw fits over any criticism of Shrub's wars against al-Qaeda and Iraq now seem to have no trouble with our making allies out of every baddie in the middle East (not to mention buddying up to Putin.)

it's bad enough that we've got Gov Dr Evil who likes torturing immigrants and an unrepentant felon for AG. Now they're policing the Capitol bathrooms? What's next? Paxton purging the voter registrations of all voters who sneeze with their left nostril instead of their right, as God clearly intended?
