With the Epstein emails at a new fever pitch, please read @sarahkendzior.bsky.social’s 2022 “They Knew” (as well as her prolific other writings) — it is a window into the past about things that seem only to be “discovered” now. Strongly recommend, I owe a lot to her thinking/writing.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is not suddenly “reasonable,” “moderate” or “brave.”

She’s just a fast rat fleeing a sinking ship, fighting for her political life while seeking a free pass for horrific past behavior and continued racist, antisemitic, anti-Muslim, antigay and anti-immigrant beliefs.

Say no.
A reminder not to celebrate Marjorie Taylor Greene even if she’s damaging Trump. Let them fight, and let them both burn. Save your praise for people who deserve it.

To be clear, I don’t see any of this being about the Republican Party becoming more “moderate.” I’m speaking solely about the cult dynamics in play. If anything, I’m expecting the post-Trump Republican Party to lean further into embracing extreme right-wing positions in terms of policy and culture.

We aren’t the audience for these anti-Trump talking points delivered by MTG and Massie, and our negative reactions and suspicions are justified.

It’s nonetheless important to understand the significance of this messaging in terms of its potential impact on the intended audience.
Rep. Thomas Massie: "I would remind my Republican colleagues who are deciding how to vote that Donald Trump can protect you in red districts right now by giving you an endorsement. But in 2030, he's not gonna be the president and you will have voted to protect pedophiles."
