🛶 | @uofgsii.bsky.social Bacteriology enjoyed a two-day retreat at the Firbush Outdoor Centre on Loch Tay at the beginning of July.

During the stay, discussions were had on the future of the research area, new opportunities for outreach and public engagement, and development of new curricula.
Bacteriology research area staff sat outdoors on grass and chairs beside Loch Tay, which is visible to the left. Bacteriology staff sat facing the camera smiling in a room that has been set up with chairs facing the front for a lecture or workshop type meeting. Eight members of staff sat in canoes in Loch Tay all tightly packed in a row, holding their paddles across the front of the vessels in a posed shot. A beautiful golden sunset image capturing the sun dipping behind the hills beyond gloriously lit up Loch Tay, with small boats in the foreground.
