Florida is looking to roll back child labor laws to make up for the immigrant labor they lost.
Lawmakers want to make it legal for those as young as 14 to work overnight shifts on school days.
This is part of the Project 2025 game plan.

Some excitement this morning. Powerful winds knocked one of my pine trees into a neighbor's tree. More neighbors came out to clear the road. The county won't get here for a while, and tree branches blocked the road.

This was from last week. My side yard is quite popular. I enjoy keeping the deer corn out for them. They don't tip at all, though.

With the icy days of Winter, my mouser Bayboo has been vigilant. I live on a land point into a lake, very rural. Even though I don't welcome field mice in, they slip through the tiniest cracks to stay warm. Sometimes, they make it into the house. And that's when Bayboo takes notice. She's great!

Many birds stay close these days. These are the special creatures who spend the winter right smack in the midst of it. I ensure that they have enough food to get through.

During the snow days, I almost ran out of deer corn and deer blocks, but I picked more up when roads cleared. These lovely creatures come by every evening and early morning.

The ladies haven't visited for a couple of weeks. Then, this morning, they appear to take breakfast from what falls from the bird feeders. Missed them!
