Simon Forsyth has joined RCC to leverage its centralised position within #UQ as he continues to manage the University's site license of REDCap, a secure, web-based platform designed for building and managing data collections. Simon first joined UQ in 1988.

In Boston, RCC Director Jake Carroll met ex-RCC staffer Hoang Nguyen, who now works in the US city. Jake was in Boston for IBM Think 2025 as part of a panel about IBM's storage innovations in powering Gen AI. UQ and IBM have a partnership to trial IBM tech at UQ.

RCC was at #APMC13 last week. RCC Director Jake Carroll (@zebrax0r.bsky.social) was part of a closing panel discussing emerging solutions for managing large datasets.
Jake & RCC's Mark Endrei were also part of leading a pre-conf. workshop on microscopy data management, with #UQ as a test case.
