I hate that Democratic voters have to beg their representatives to do the right thing, while Republican congresspeople seem to know exactly what to do for their constituency.

The NRA is the gun sellers lobby, not the gun owners lobby. If they cared about owners, they would want to protect gun owners by setting regulations to make sure only responsible people were gun owners. Instead they just want gun sellers to make more money, and sell as much as possible.

The same goes for all the players at this year's World Cup. I would love to see the winners refuse to accept the trophy if the current president is the one giving it to them.

Ultimately the President should take ownership, since I would assume any military operation would have the approval of the commander in chief. So either the President is lying, or he has no control over the military. Or both.

Republicans have fans, Democrats have (mostly) voters. Voters are fickle, and need the candidate to be a good person and say the right things to earn their vote. But fans want to crush their opponent, and they aren't switching sides. Ask an Auburn fan to root for Alabama and see how that goes.
