Went to the Crystal City for the first time in months today with @adamsisk.bsky.social!! Today was his first time there. Explored the area and saw the defunct Cristal City Shops, which is sad. More photos coming soon!! Also saw this mobile commuter store. I wonder what the schedule is.

Went to Ballston Quarter Mall yesterday and saw their small but nice Christmas display. Santa was not there however. Also a photo of my Christmas tree at home!! I think it came out very nicely this year. This will be the only post of the day due to final exams. Be back tomorrow!!!

Went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum near Dulles with @adamsisk.bsky.social shortly after the shutdown ended. This has always been a favorite of mine so I had an amazing time. Got some great photos from the observation tower and explored the hanger. More photos in the replies section.

This is my last Metro post for a while, but I couldn’t forget about Benning Road Station!! Having also visited last week, it was the last one I needed to finish the blue and silver lines!! Saw a cool apartment building, and there is also a Denny’s and 7-Eleven which is good to know for late nights.

My 87th Metrorail station was exited on the same day as Addison Road, Capitol Heights!! This station is almost on the Maryland State line, you can walk over the boarder and see the signage directly outside the parking lot. Thanks to @adamsisk.bsky.social for coming along on this adventure!!

Got my car washed at Auto Bell Sterling and they were excellent. My car was covered in road salt after driving 200 miles in the snow yesterday and it looks brand new now. Then, visited a friend and went to Rocco‘s Italian Restaurant in McLean, which is a favorite of mine. The pizza was phenomenal.

Had the limited-time Grinch meal today at McDonald’s and it boy was it AWESOME. You get special pickle-flavored salt for the fries and a bag to shake that on, and a PAIR OF SOCKS. Absolutely wild. Go out and get this piece of history before they run out!!

Went to Johnson and Towers with @schuminweb.com today and saw some awesome vehicles in the shop. This shop is really a one-stop shop for all sorts of commercial and public safety vehicles!! Was really cool to see some of these being worked on.

Got my 2025 YouTube recap today, and holy cow this is awesome. I’ve been watching YT as my primary entertainment for years and I haven’t seen this before. Though, a large category of what I watch was missed, with that being police body cam. Anyone else watch similar channels and video types to me??

I am throughly impressed with ChatGPT’s ability to edit photos. I gave it this terrible photo I got today of Christmas decorations outside the Wheaton Metro Station, and asked it to remove the lens flare and make the decorations pop. And it did a phenomenal job. The 2nd photo is the AI-edited one.

Took the Metro to Wheaton, and they have some very nice decorations outside the main exit of the station. This serves as an addition to my previous post about the mall.

Went to Westfield Wheaton Mall today for the first time in a while, and got some photos of their Christmas displays. Very nice, and the garland hung from the ceiling on the wires is very unique.

Had fun riding the special @wmata.com rail services two weeks ago with a great friend of mine (who is not on Bluesky)!! I am greatly looking forward to the yellow line being extended to Greenbelt permanently later this month. It will provide a direct connection for me to College Park.

So, my 2025 YouTube music recap has been released, and I am very surprised by the results. I listened for a total of 23.5K minutes and I definitely listened to one song for way too much of that 🤣🤣. Time to diversify in 2026.

Perhaps this was just my experience, but I was very underwhelmed when I recently visited the DC Holiday Market. Only around 35 vendors were present compared to 130+ advertised, and mostly homemade art. Though, I hadn’t been to the Dupont Circle area in a long time.

Potomac Mills will be my final mall stop today with @elevatorandtravel.bsky.social. Want to hit up the Lego store for my sister and then look around for gifts for my uncle. But first, dinner at the dining pavilion. The first time I have entered this way and they have a nice Christmas tree outside!

Third stop of mall hangout day with @elevatorandtravel.bsky.social was Fashion Center at Pentagon City!! I frequent this mall due to It’s very close proximity to my apartment and easy access via @wmata.com, but Adam has never been here before so it was a lot of fun giving him the tour.

Third stop of mall hangout day with @elevatorandtravel.bsky.social was Fashion Center at Pentagon City!! I frequent this mall due to It’s very close proximity to my apartment and easy access via @wmata.com, but Adam has never been here before so it was a lot of fun giving him the tour.
And some photos of the mall itself. There were some interesting structures in the atriums, and it was very open and roomy. I enjoyed my time here and I definitely will return. Got some great gifts for two friends at the Dick’s Sporting Goods!

Second Mall of the day was also one that I haven’t been to, Fair Oaks. Unlike Montgomery Mall having the best food court, this mall had the best Christmas display. I honestly have never seen something like this. It was awesome. Enjoy the photos!
