Unless you never put petrol in your plug in hybrid. But that seems to defeat the point.

My non-hybrid car has similar efficiency. It's ridiculous how much the RUCs are compared to petrol.

I completely agree! I just have an efficient petrol car and I might actually be worse off in an EV.
