Considering just how poorly their candidate recruitment went in Alabama, Arkansas, and Kentucky, I'm very surprised they got this many people to run in West Virginia.

With filing for the West Virginia primary almost up, Republicans is now contesting 112 of 119 state legislative races, while Democrats now have candidates in 95 races. Dems have 81 House races contested, surpassing the 76 they had in 2022.

With the primary filing deadline just a few days away, West Virginia Democrats are now contesting a majority of races in the WV House of Delegates. They have candidates in 51 races vs 90 for Republicans.
On the flip side, they've got candidates in just 7/18 Senate races so far. Deadline is Jan. 31.

With the primary filing deadline just a few days away, West Virginia Democrats are now contesting a majority of races in the WV House of Delegates. They have candidates in 51 races vs 90 for Republicans.
On the flip side, they've got candidates in just 7/18 Senate races so far. Deadline is Jan. 31.
