Know what is worse than SOVs? Zero occupancy vehicles. I saw so many of these empty cars driving around San Francisco, just making traffic.

I do appreciate him fighting for the Green Line, and Union Depot from everything I heard (I was not following things closely at the time). But in this corridor, and leading on new corridors I agree.

Just know there's a lot more I would say in person over a coffee then I would post online.

We need an aggressively pro-transit progressive champion to challenge Rafael's seat next year.

The lack of leadership I've seen from his office surrounding this project in my opinion is disqualifying of the position.

32 years is long enough to hold a seat. Ramsey needs a new leader.

Remember this when you hear about property taxes rising next year

Remember this when Hennepin Cty announces yet another transit expansion

Remember this when the equity gap between East Metro and West Metro continues growing

The current leadership of Ramsey County is failing us
usestransit.bsky.social
Because we don't have the density or commercial base to sustain the services that an urban county of our size needs. We are refusing to work with our partners for transit that will spur much needed development, and give a strong customer base to businesses.

Realistic and Affordable alternative. That would have been operational in 8 years, almost unheard of for a new Dedicated BRT Line. They pick up their toys and go home.

Ramsey County is being left in the dust by Hennepin County. We are raising property taxes year over year

Ramsey County? Where is the leadership? Where is the vision for the future?

The County has spent decades postponing construction projects on this corridor for the promise of a transitway, and yet when they had everyone else in the room willing to fight for and advance a

First Riverview is killed.

Then the City of Saint Paul, MnDOT, and the Met Council pull together a great alternative in the West 7th BRT.

Ramsey County refuses to fund the project.

Now it has been officially downgraded to ABRT. This is embarrassing.

And that the science and research was not on their side.

But I still had a lot of unlearning to do. A decade of Dennis Prager, Michael Savage, and everyone else on AM 1280 The Patriot did a number on me

I feel like cause I grew up conservative, I missed the edgy phase and more just realized as I got into high school that the conservative talk radio that I listened too was so disconnected from reality

Bustang saved me when my completely broke down on me going over the mountains in Colorado. I barely made it into Vail. Transmission went out, and it wasn't worth replacing. I was stuck. But Bustang was there to save me

Change for the better is possible.

And it can happen quicker than you think.

It may not be perfect, but a world that's better than what you think is realistic today is completely possible! Even if there will be some setbacks along the way

10 years ago we were 1 year into green line operation, and still 1 year out from the A Line being built. If memory serves, the 2nd + Marquette bus improvements were underway, and we were trying out this newfangled "signal prioritization" thing on 4th + university. _wild_ changes in 10 years

There are significantly more bikers riding in Minneapolis than there were 10 years ago, and we just opened our first protected bikeway, once network now is complete we'll have 26 high frequency bus routes, much more than 10 years ago.

Change seems slow zoomed in, but it is happening.

Definitely, I wish we had followed up on this study that was done in 2010

I appreciate this. Thank you for sharing. There's a lot of people on the East side praying on this lines downfall and just waiting for an excuse to hate on it
