Well that's exactly it - Detroit builds through Amoo-Mensah far more often than Wiedt, so you're better off using resources to try to stop Amoo-Mensah.

This obviously didn't work (see the penalty-earning move that starts up Amoo-Mensah's side) but it's the right way to stop Detroit on paper.

In my experience, fan interest in the USL is extremely local. Even people who are diehard for their club aren’t necessarily interested in leaguewide stories – expansion and pro-rel are the only two exceptions.

Pair that with the larger media landscape, and there’s no incentive to expand coverage.
