Protect thyself against crypto scams. Before investing, do your homework. Thoroughly research the person or organization you're considering sending money to.

Pet owners, beware of scammers pretending to be from animal shelters, claiming a car hit your pet, and demanding payment to help them.
Always:
•Call the shelter using their official number.
•Be wary if the caller asks you to pay in cash, gift cards, or crypto.

Mobile payment apps are a convenient way to send money. Unfortunately, scammers use them.

Always:
•Secure account with a PIN
•Double-check recipient’s info
•If you receive an unexpected request from someone you know, speak with them before sending money

•Unexpected contact.
•Pressure to act fast.
•Specific payment demands (cash, gift cards, etc.).

Wells Fargo is warning customers about a new phishing scam. It uses fake "Verify You Are Human" tests to trick you into installing malware that steals your personal info.
Be suspicious of "human verification" that asks for keystrokes like Win + R or CTRL + V. Real CAPTCHAs won't do this!
