How else could we–any of us–be saved from a broken system that insists we conform to the rigid boxes it is empowered by keeping us in except to embrace queerness of every sort. We don’t just mean that trans lives are sacred in the way that every life is sacred. We mean that there is sacred saving power for the world in every moment that someone is free to be more themselves. In every crack that trans-ness makes in the edifice of power. We are saying that every person who steps out from under the constraints put on all of us makes all of us more free."
