Donating money to food banks goes 3 times further then donating food itself. they can buy in bulk and dollars feed more mouths instead of pockets.

I'll always have a soft spot for CFNY. When CHUM-FM went mainstream in the 70's I put up an aerial to get a tiny station, broadcast from a farmhouse in Brampton. Good memories.

Never, ever donate at the checkout or buy the overpriced food bags at supermarkets. It's better to donate directly to local food banks.
