In terms of individuals I don't know anyone, but there have been the national protest days (no kings, hands off, etc) that get organized by some local affiliates of national orgs (indivisible is the only one I know a name for). So some national organizing must be occurring?

So it's a math problem of student loans+ grant eligibility in ~2 years and total lifetime repayment cost vs average additional lifetime earning from the degree. But there's unique research and work at university and the way into those fields goes through uni. Summer HS program could explore those

So the Pell Grant seems ~okay right now (should be growing but at least it's not shrinking)
Much bigger changes were made to how federal student loans are dispersed and paid back.

So my advice would be consider what you want from college. If the main driver is lifetime earnings
