One could argue Rafael Nadal broke out in the 2004 Davis Cup final in Seville when he was trusted to replace Juan Carlos Ferrero.
20 years and 5 Davis Cup titles later, it is fitting for him to retire at Davis Cup Finals in Andalusia once again, in Málaga this time.
