Legal problems are an interesting point. I just worry that these detectors like all ai tools will learn from writers work. It seems like a feedback loop.

So what if the publishers are checking text for AI use? Maybe it’ll help reducing the amount of slop. How does that help us writers? I write by myself, no AI or even writing tools. And if the detector says I’m a bot, what do you suggest I should do?

Authors that write without AI don’t need to check for AI, the ones that cheat now have an easier time. That worries me. I think need more research and education, not another AI-detecting AI tool. It is a cynical program.

Am I missing something? Is this an AI detection with an option of an AI human paraphraser? Writers who use AI to write a book can use this program to rework their AI text to make it sound 'more human'?

In fantasy worlds, it is often difficult to feed information. We often have no idea whether we are going to say too much or too little. Beta reader is good for judging that. Clunky chapters are normal, because even if you create the world in your head, writing can be hard. Don’t worry :-)

I don't use my legal name. Even translated. Probably because it sounds similar in all languages... Anyway, I avoid popular biblical names, not because I don't like them, but I didn't want them to be clearly associated with religion, which I don't have in my novel.

I think it's worth exploring non-romantic relations too. I write all kind of love: parents to their child, two quarrelling brothers, a soldier’s loyalty to her leader and pure love between friends. All relations are important for our characters.
