You can get a werewolf early by sending your fighters to face tank against the boss of Lake Jannenia at night time. They don't actually have to die. Just being hit is enough. #OgreBattle

Movement types aren't just for speed. They also have a dramatic effect on battle. Units that can fight on water are pretty rare so on maps like Lake Jannenia you can cut off the enemy base with an unkillable octopus. #OgreBattle

Octopus getting hit by a Wild Man unit for 3 damage. They normally do over 30 damage on land. They're supported by 3 Amazon units. Collectively all 4 of them cannot out damage the heals by the cleric.

The stats of the octopus. It's currently level 4 and it's one of the free units you get at the start of the game.

I have the urge to play #OgreBattle again and I am still a little uncomfortable with how much this track from #UnicornOverlord sounds like the iconic Accretion Disk.

Ultima 8 had one of the coolest intros for a game in the mid 90s.

The game itself is a bit hard to play these days. I feel like if you could increase the FOV, overhaul the combat, and make the platforming a little snappier / faster the game would be pretty good.

They deliberately downplay how much work is involved in actually setting that system up and getting people to use it. Nothing they said is wrong, but only technically. You can't just build a feed or use an alternate moderation service. You need alternate everything.

The whole "go somewhere else" part of the decentralization/federated protocol means you need completely separate sites & servers that are independent of each other and then the communications between the two are compatible and can be accessed from both services.

I hate it when games include cosmetic outfits but like only 1-2 options.

Like "You can play with the default appearance or this alternate appearance where it's shiny and silvery!" And then if you don't like either then tough.

What's the point of cosmetics if I can't build a look I like?

It's another square enix RPG. Started as a spin off from final fantasy but these days the only reference is a status effect that turns you into a moogle. Lots of nostalgia if you've played Trials of Mana & Legend of Mana!

Waffles needing a specialized grill to make means they're horribly inefficient. If you ever want literally anything other than waffles, you have a whole kitchen appliance you can not use for that purpose no matter what it is.

As for toppings, they are so good mixed in pancake batter. #TeamPancakes
