Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social ’s wishes for the New Year in Paris. Strong messages with regard to her accomplishments during her two terms. Agree, Paris is much more agreeable as a city to live in in so many respects compared to just 10 years back.

Now finished all of the ’Arabe du Futur’ series by Riad Sattouf. A fascinating history of a French-Syrian boy growing up in the Middle East in the 80s & 90s, reminded of my own time in there. Very perceptive, very amusing, very moving. Can wholeheartedly recommend. 1/2

Tried to order a book from @tate.bsky.social online shop. There was a note (from late 2024) that EU deliveries had been put on hold for a while due to measures to be taken to ’comply w EU general product safety regulation’. That project appears still ongoing. Thank you #Brexit.
