Photos from Gōtokuji, the Lucky Cat shrine in Tokyo. The shrine is the source of the lucky cat story.

These photos were taken on my Canon T-50 with Fujicolor 400 film. No adjustments have been made aside from straightening and some minor color adjustment.

My newest camera, a Voigtlander Vitomatic IIb from 1965. It has a built-in light meter, which was important to me. There was a roll of Kodacolor VR 1000 from the mid 1980s in the camera, so I will have to see if there are any photos on it.

These photos were taken near #Tsurukawa station in #Machida, #Tokyo in March of this year. Photos were taken with my 📷 #Mamiya Six camera using #Lomography Color Negative 800 film. I quite like this film. I haven't cleaned up or adjusted these. #nofilter #filmphotography #photography #mediumformat

I picked up a new-to-me camera at the second hand store today. Looking forward to giving it a try. I don't have any 35mm cameras with me here in Japan, they're all in storage in the US, so I'm looking forward to trying out some different 35mm films. #canon #filmphotography #35mm

I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.

Finally switched back to Linux as my primary desktop and wiped my Windows partition. There are only a handful of apps I use that won't run under Linux, and I'm fine just not having those. I started using Linux in the 90s and it has been my primary system for most of the past 30 years. #linux

A street near Asakusa Station in Tokyo. In the background is Tokyo Skytree. A giant chef's head sits atop a multiple story building in the Kappabashi district of Tokyo. A restaurant supply store in the Kappabashi district of Tokyo. It is cluttered with all kinds of items needed to run a restaurant. A statue of a Kappa stands outside a store in the Kappabashi district of Tokyo. Kappa are traditional Japanese Yokai (spirits) who inhabit rivers and streams. Kappabashi translates as "Kappa Bridge" and refers to the ancient belief that Kappa lived under the bridge in the area. Kappa look sort of like turtle people with a bald head. On their head is a small cup of water. This one is holding a chef's knife and wearing a chef's apron.

@bsky.app , would it be possible to leave some of the metadata fields in place when uploading photos? I appreciate clearing GPS coordinates and such, but it would be nice if my copyright notice stayed in place. Not a showstopper, but I'm sure there are others who would also appreciate it.
