"People who hanker after the conventional will not like it."
One of the reasons I enjoy (& value) scans of old magazines—especially trade and literary magazines—is the weird little bullshit you stumble across in the ads and advertising wraps. Like this ad for Charles J. Finger's "All's Well".

This was my trigger today, but I want to say that I *think* I remember seeing somebody use Banco and Mistral mixed in one headline. Probably because they just bought a CD-ROM or something.

This is a (bad?) sketch I tried to make of an example, today: This idea here is that the marginal results and some/all of the constants are given, but NOT the four arithmetic functions I showed in my sketch of a solution.

Some typography is "smart" and "cute" but also will cause intense pain that should be accounted for.

OK, I've worked out a few by hand, and (1) it is possible, but (2) I think negative coefficients are necessary. Consider trying to add coefficients to the gCF [1,2,3,4,5,…] to make it add up to 5.

Finally caught up on Arcane Season 2 (Netflix) (after a few months away from the subscription) and 100% immediately saw the animators MUST have had a bunch of Kelly Freas art on the walls for this look:

That is, the expanded simple continued fraction shown below.
Now: what other simple CF is equal, where only the third coefficient is negative?
