Hi! I'm Vaiden. I'm a gamer, writer, aspiring game dev, and my day job is in software as a Helpdesk content specialist.

A better future is possible. Don't let them crush that dream.
Just remember, most Americans aren't qualified to talk about American politics either LOL

I remember listening to this audiobook a decade ago at work! I thought it was really engaging.

You really should play the first 32 before you get into 33

A friend of mine passed away over 10 years ago now from a motorcycle accident. She pops into my head all the goddamn time. It used to be painful, but now I just accept that a part of her will be with me until the day I die, and honestly? There's a comfort in that.

The love never goes away.

Aren't they fucking satisfied enough with the goddamn tracking device I have in my damn pocket that peers into every crucial piece of data about me at a whim

NYT is compromised junk anymore. For every reasonable article, there's a slew of trash opinions and clearly paid for propaganda

What the fuck happened to this guy

I thought he was gonna be decent

Steve's dope. He's an ally, he looks out for his friends, and he tries to do his best every day. We could all learn a lot from Steve.

But yeah, you see the signs in little things. Like gaming culture. If you aren't first, you're last. If you aren't completely dominating, you're weak. Our relationship with failure is *not* a healthy one.

Americans are the most propagandized people on the planet. I firmly believe this. We're taught a fiction about the world, and then corporate propaganda is constantly there to make us want more, and be terrified of losing what we have. It teaches complete subservience to those with more than us.

It goes deep, my man. We're the ones who coined "the war on x" where x is drugs, obesity, etc. Everything's a war. Everything's a fight.

Our schools' grading scales emphasize competition over results. We throne the top winner and anyone who isn't the best sucks.

We're afraid of falling behind

Also, "bad" is way subjective. I've had a blast with "bad" games

If no one else responded with this, I was going to.

Shit lives *rent free* in my head since playing Metaphor.

But I thought we were against socialism

I'm not opposed to the spending, but I am opposed to playing goddamn word games

The only reason this nation clings to any facsimile of greatness is because of the efforts and dreams of immigrants

"Device hoarding"

This is fuckin' quiet quitting all over again, fuck off
November 27, 2025 at 6:25 PM
Amazing how much fun games can be when you don't have someone screaming in your ear about how much the game sucks
November 26, 2025 at 3:45 PM
That bird looks fucking delicious, do a victory lap friend
November 26, 2025 at 3:20 PM
I do wish people would be a little kinder. We're all so easily angered online, and there's so much *stuff* that it's hard to catch all the details.

All you can do is your best!
November 25, 2025 at 6:54 PM
no shit I'm jealous that looks delicious
November 25, 2025 at 6:51 PM

have they considered putting efforts into making the flying experience a much less miserable experience thus decreasing the level of stress that everyone feels so that the environment is more conducive towards a kind one?

no? Just beg people to not get mad as they're getting screwed?
