i would not turn into one of those "oh MY kid is screen free" parents, but i'd make damn sure I'd engage in what they're doing and talking about and steer them away from being chronically online

especially relevant with social media, but you see it all the time on the few forums that are still around. everyone has to be either incredibly dour over everything because that's cool and hip (and don't forget posting disparaging meme images when you don't agree).

never really thought i'd say this but man, i'm just tired of the internet in general.

it's just turned into a bunch of people just puffing out their feathers more to see who can be the most xyz. instead of just existing.
