These pics don't do the lights justice, but we love doing this. Love seeing the cars slow and the kids wave. Many more in the town have some beautiful decorations.

Mum would be 97 today. She came to Australia with my brother and I in her 30s to visit family for a holiday after separating from Dad. We stayed. I often think how hard it would have been in the 60s to be a single mum with an 8yo and 14yo. She did eventually meet someone and had 2 more children.

Time for a gin and pink lemonade.
