Call in sick or take personal days during the first few days of the government shutdown, if you can. We need to slow this economy down to a trickle. Spend as little as possible for 24-48 hours. A consumer driven economic shutdown will get their attention.

It is the responsibility of every truly patriotic American to show up, stand up and speak out. It’s past time to get loud. We can’t count on our institutions. It’s time for very large, loud, peaceful demonstrations in DC. Sit in in front of the houses of Congress and outside of the White House.

He humiliated himself, and the people who voted for him. Many people around the world understand that at least half of us didn’t vote for him. I refuse to carry his shame, and that of his voters.

In this fractious and frustrating time, it’s easy to feel powerless. The truth is, we are quite powerful, both in groups and individually. Protests and marches are valuable and important, but so is the buying power of the individual. Boycott the companies and products supporting this administration.
