Exactly. There is nothing wrong in a character having flaws that gets called out and give the character room to grow and overcome them. It's just good character progression, but nowadays we can't have that...

Don't get me wrong, I love video essayists screaming at bad movies, but I don't watch those to form an opinion. Normally I already have an opinion and that is follow-up entertainment, and often points out even worse things I didn't notice before.

Like how Sokka in the awful ATLA live action can't even start as the sexist idiot he was only to learn and do better later on (still S1), but we need him to be a nice guy from the start because heaven forbid a character has flaws, or people will cancel the whole series. It would've been better tho.
