Yeah, I was wary because of the promo picture, but it was actually good. Especially for the first two episodes of a series. They are usually more cringe until you get into a few episodes but this was surprisingly entertaining and lots of meat for the true fans.

Dance of the Jakaranda, by Peter Kimani. Traveled to Kenya this year and it was a great historical novel to give me context. I’m not sure it was intended, but misogyny was the common denominator that linked all the cultures in the novel.
