Blown away by this virtual photographer's rendition of Gustave from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 that is featured in the current edition of L'Homme Magazine (a men's fashion magazine from 'Second Life'). The coat & prosthetic arm created by [TANAKA] were both inspired by Gustave's outfit in-game.

The insidious rise of silent consumption is dispiriting for those of us who create. As a fic writer I have a couple of faithful commenters, and I cherish them dearly. It isn't until you try to create something yourself that you understand what it's like to feel as if you're posting into a void.

replies felt weirdly discouraged on twitter (at least to me) but I really recommend getting back into the habit of telling artists directly when you like their stuff. not even in an engagement farming way, it just feels nice. nobody's day is going to be worse hearing that you like their work

When you subscribe to your own work on AO3 so that you know each update email has gone out OK. You post a new chapter, and a short while later you get the ping of an email. "Yippee! Comments!" you think, only to realise that it's AO3 notifying you that you updated.
