I’ve heard Columbia described as a ‘how catch-em’ instead of a whodunnit.

From the one episode I’ve seen, very apt description, the culprit was revealed in the opening as we watched them set up a fake crime scene to cover the real one.

Those exist! Theres a whole community about not just using them but making them. Theyre called WriterDecks (as a corollary to a CyberDeck, named after cyberpunk hacking tools)

There’s also a few that are commercial built I think, but a lot of the people in that community end up building their own.
