Yes!! And I think genuinely a lot of people just might not know about any of this stuff because AI got pushed mainstream SO fast and adopted blindly by employers/institutions/governments without any due diligence. That's what these corpos were DREAMING of, establishing dominance before regulation

I'll gladly accept the label of "AI hater/judger" if even 1 person can start thinking critically about what's happening here. It goes beyond "how does genAI affect education", we have an obligation to consider all facets/effects of a tool and the motivations of it's creator and users.

I was really glad that a classmate came up to me after to talk about a podcast where he'd heard about all this and that he's also an AI critic. I really had resigned myself to "these ppl are gonna be like wow vanade has a stick up her butt about AI" which is how I feel talking about AI at work lol

I don't say a thing/haven't said anything about anyone's usage all term. It's whatever. But you people have to think about this. WE have to think about it. This can't be a one-sided discussion as if everything's rainbows & unicorns. And stop accepting "inevitable" software pushed on us by corpos

The devastating impact on the arts industry, the domino effects to our own jobs. The way openAI and others are positioning themselves to be bailed out because it's not profitable, the sale of soft bank's shares in Nvidia. Honesty I probably sounded like a doomer LOL (and I am)
