It's doubly important after you get one of the bad comments. For me, being reminded that there are people who appreciate what I do, and who know how to speak like civil adults, helps counteract the shite ones

I have a folder on my phone with every nice comment I've ever gotten. I sometimes think commenters have no idea just how hard those supportive words can hit.

But they don't HAVE to be unrelated. We've got a 1970's english new wave band, wearing their suit pants on the bottom and just bandeaus and ties up top. And the bras? Full of knives and maybe drugs. Boom!

I'm not saying it's a BAD mental image, mind you. But certainly not what I meant.
Then again, maybe more male character designs should feature strapless bras full of miscellaneous gear. Who am I to say?

That definitely comes to mind as an explanation! If I wanted to be really generous, I might argue that since humiliation is integral in cuckholding, maybe saying awful things about the characters is almost a way of participating in said humiliation.

But mostly, I think suppressed irl issues.

Near as I can tell, people (read: a specific subset of guys) really do just troll that tag to find stories to get upset about and leave rude comments on. That's not exclusive to my own stories, just a trend I've noticed. It really is very... specific
