Recently moved house and living very close to the river. Tonight we found an actual frog in the utility room. Wondering if he got in via the washing machine pipes. Took quite a long time to catch him and have since released him back into the wild. That’s enough excitement for a Sunday night ☺️

Don’t bother heading to #Cineworld York tonight. They’ve just evacuated everyone and are showing no more films tonight. Not sure if it’s a real fire but saw the fire engines heading that way on our drive home.

Let this be the only year that I move house twice within 12 months. Forgot how much physical work it entails.

10 days leave for my birthday, with a special trip to Paris with my family and then a weekend in Chester and North Wales with @simonritchie.bsky.social Just what I needed to recalibrate but will be a shock to the system tomorrow morning when the work alarm goes off.

Poor Rafie has a slipped disc and is on strict bed rest. Had to get him a crate to confine him, though to be fair, he’s been fast asleep in it all afternoon.

We are being very festive, having just watched Heretic ( for the second time) Not festive at all actually, but loving Hugh Grant in his villainous era. #JoinIn

Santa has come early for Ralfie. He’s never left his new bed since I arrived home with it yesterday. Think he’s a bit off colour with his ears.

Our promises not to check work emails or messages over the holidays are often all too easily broken. But switching off from the office is important for our physical and mental health, and will help us be happier and more productive when we return to work. theconversation.com/switching-of...
Switching off from work can be difficult but taking a proper break is good for your health
Switching off phones or laptops when on holidays can help us get more out of our free time and relationships.

Watched Maria at the cinema tonight with my boy. Beautiful film. Angela Jolie gave an amazing performance as Maria Callas.

Been to see The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at Leeds Playhouse for my Mum’s birthday. Such a creative, magical production of a childhood classic. Recommend you see it if you can! ✨
