I don't know if you're using a pattern or not, but there are a ton of really great bagmaking patterns and designers, with great instructions for beginning bagmakers. (Same with leatherworking patterns, if you're wanting to be less terrified!)

It's entirely possible that I just need more practice, lol. After multiple times of having to figure out where exactly my Schacht shuttle went through the warp and onto the floor, I gave up this round. I have seen that practicing with it not threaded is recommended, so maybe I'll try that next.

Similar here. On the other hand, this year *for the first time in decades* our state house election actually had a Democratic challenger for my district. The Republicans have been running unopposed because it was a given they'd win. (And the Republican incumbent won by only 420 votes in my county.)

You made this really nice sling bed for her, though!

A group of weavers in my guild *only* use black in the weft, so the colors stay true "better". It was interesting for me to learn!

I love your lease stick setup! I'm battling my current set up, which keeps turning the sticks vertical instead of flat like that. I hadn't thought to add a separate holder to keep them in place! (Now hunting options.) (Also, the warp is gorgeous!)

Having *also* "pushed the boundaries and innovated" recently, I celebrate your victory!

It would be so hard to turn that down.

I have friends that swore by the Cricut 12x10 one, because it would press an only slightly smaller area than a fixed press and was both more maneuverable and easier to store while also being an improvement over an iron.

My current one is not better suited for wider than probably 30 inch fabrics, sadly. I did one side, then rotated my fabric and did the other, but it's only 16" wide. It's about 8 years old, but similar to the Vevor 16x20. I have pressed 2 and 3 layers with it, with a Teflon sheet between though.

It's a gnome meant for you!!

Ah... I have a 16 x 20 press, and have so far only needed to press 23 inch fabric. I hadn't considered the WIDTH of the fabric here. I wonder if a swing-away style press would be easier than a clamshell?

I wish you much luck with that!
