Dear Professor: there's a basic mistake: news outlets keep in mind their CXIX selling each single newspaper (online subscribers now). So, while fake news are for free, NYT, WP, WSJ, ElPais etc, are out of reach for the most. In fact, the Youtube model could be a better answer.
