Probably need a longer advent calendar than December for monads.

Good idea for an advent calendar - open a hectad and see what, if anything, has been recorded in it.

They are quite shiny so there's a lot of reflection from the led ring light needed to take the photo.

The world is currently going to shit and instead of trying to do something positive to stop it and improve things governments are going 'oh what can we do to speed it up and make things 10 times worse'.

We had some of those glass baubles when I was growing up. I loved the bird with its long soft bristled tail.

I love the smell of these flowers. In UK it is a highly invasive non native species. We have some confined to a large tub in our garden in Norwich so that we can bring the blooms indoors to enjoy that lovely scent.

🧵 2/2 Alligator snappers are ambush predators. Note the pinkish-white blob in the open mouth - the snapper lays on the bottom of the river, with its mouth wide open and wriggling that bit of tissue to attract fish. Needless to day, an exciting day for me. #herps #turtles #NaturePhotography 🌿

Will this despicable behaviour never stop? Do to the perpetrators what they do to the birds is what I say.

Congrats! Lovely aren't they. Only seen them twice but on both occasions had several together. Like buses, wait for one and a whole lot turn up at once!
