Vepaphen was a dominant beast, a queen of her kind, and with that came the instinct to physically stay above. It… made her nervous to expose herself in such a way, though she would never admit such a fact to anyone but herself. But Charlotte had taken too long to show, and the longer Vepa lied there in her lover’s bed, surrounded by her sheets and her scent and the rousing anticipation, the less she could bear it any longer. Eagerness gave way to impatience, which gave way to need, then pure desperation, hot and fervent and so not careful at all. Which gave way to her position now. Sprawled on her back, harmless, cold flames licking at the sheets, completely uncaring that she had left the door ajar and focused only now on the way her umbral summon wraps around her ovipositor, squeezing and pumping along the ridged length to relieve the near painful arousal which had wrapped its claws around her so insistently. Vepaphen pants heavily. She twists her waist and her eyes roll back with that particularly pleasurable throb that crests through her loins. She is not close yet, but it is delicious relief nonetheless, especially when she grapples enough control of her thoughts to imagine that, rather than the shadowy tendrils so rhythmically handling her, it is instead the hot, slick, squeezing heat of the small woman’s core. She can think of nothing but the pleasure, the feeling, the fantasy, the vulnerability— She never took notice of the new presence in the room. She never sensed the dimming of the light in the doorway, of something, of someone, blocking it. How long had she been there? How long had she been watched?
