He knows Esen is a powerful warrior and grown adult but sometimes he remembers that he's 5 years younger than him and taking the weight of the world on his shoulders and wants to make sure he's taken care of too. So it's a balance

However, 2 big struggles Esen deals with from ARR-EW is bottling up emotion and repressing any part of himself he thinks is unbefitting of his role. He is already unpacking this by the time they become a thing, but Urianger's presence gives him a space to really explore those things safely-
