Amazon would have no cohesive idea what to do with it, just like with MGM, and are also IMO the most likely to sell off the lot.

Netflix makes mostly awful movies. Buying Warner is admiting that (they’ve already been caving more and more lately on their quest to kill theatrical so I’m not worried as in the past they’d reduce Warner’s theatrical output.)

Apple’s been making high quality movies with good directors, so has Warner. Together they keep doing that but make fewer. Same with HBO and AppleTV. These work better as Coke and Pepsi.

Universal is a bigger theatrical player and I fear a combination with Universal cuts the number of releases in half like it basically did with Disney/Fox. Also Paramount Skydance probably puts Lassiter in charge of Warner Animation which would be interesting. (No hugs!)

Writers are constantly gaslit by business affairs (and even their own agents and managers) about how everyone at any specific level is only working for minimums…that’s never been true and never will be true and this guide provides up to date statistical proof of that.

I also want to make sure that, as the business models of the industry shift, we act nimbly as a guild to make sure the union and the members can be financially secure.

Writers who know me personally regularly reach out for help understanding their contracts, their WGA health insurance, and to hear my take on what the heck is actually going on in this business. I’d like to help the entire membership the way I help my friends.

I’m running for guild office to ensure that members feel just as heard during this period of industry turbulence as they did during the strike. Solidarity is not something to rally for once every three years; it should be reflected in the support we feel from our union and each other all the time.

We successfully navigated the strike but new challenges have emerged. During this uniquely difficult time in our industry, many WGA members feel hung out to dry—without a job, unsure of what to do, and uncertain about what changes in our industry mean for their futures or the future of their union.

The technology uses laser pulses of varying intensity and wavelength to encode the information into silica crystals. It is in the process of being commercialized but has yet to be functionally utilized outside of the lab…until Luther perfected it of course.
