In India, the concept of no parking on a busy street is irrelevant. I was stuck in traffic somewhere on my way back from Malleswaram to Indiranagar today, and saw this sign-post that prohibits people from parking.

There wasn't enough space on that street for a person to stand. Forget about parking.

Some of these days are truly a blessing for me. I was introduced to Green in 2023 and Ollie in 2024. Both of them, slowly but eventually accepted me as their family.

I often forget that they also accepted each other as family.

Indian buyers are the worst.

I was recently trying to sell books through reddit in Bangalore since I am shifting and I don't have space to carry many.

I'm satisfied by how 2025 turned out! There were some good as well as bad times, but the yin and yang have to always exist as a pair. Read my final thoughts on this year here.

It's been 23 days of reading without a miss. Every morning or evening, I set aside some time to read one of the books on my shelves (I have more unread books than read ones). Currently, I am reading The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. When you have this cutie for company, you can't complain.

When you stay in BLR, you realize that the bar for everything is set so high that you crave mediocrity similar to yours in some aspects, just so that you can enjoy and get better incrementally.

Not everything needs a fast-paced environment, because not everything is a passion.

This week's newsletter talks about the age old problem of differences in salaries in India, and how they have come to be in the first place.

Some folks from non-tech backgrounds may resonate with this one.

There are only a few moments when Ollie climbs into the tree basket and sleeps like a baby.

Views from any lake never disappoint.

This one was taken after my run around the Byrasandra Lake in Bangalore!

That majestic pose and those big eyes. Take my heart away.

My newsletter about how we as citizens are equally responsible for our state of affairs in India is up now.

I am not exonerating the government here. Our civility needs a reality check though.

Lately, I was feeling that I don't take enough photos outside and decided to do some introspection (and also throw in some tangential thoughts) around it.

My next read.

A few days ago I had posted on Reddit about the fact that Kindle ebooks are no longer priced lower than their paperback counterparts. Some people in the comments ask me to find other sources.

Here's the problem though. (1/n)

The amount of politicial commentary on platforms like Twitter and Instagram has substantially increased in the last decade. At times, I have been a part of it myself.

But I see that as a distraction for public from the grave issues that we are faced with.

I started solving problems on Leetcode.

ChatGPT is helping me is by converting my logic into code. I don't know how to write code, so I'm employing it to solve problems by giving it my logic for the solution and instructing it strictly to not suggest anything around that logic.

Finishing this week with a 12K and 41K overall! A first in ages.

Wasn't expecting the morning to be this sunmy after last night's rain, but the weather eventually turned out better towards the end of the run.

People call out spreadsheets and their capability to consume lives, but spreadsheets are beautiful.

There comes a point in life where you want to use them because they simplify problems instead of creating them. I am at that point.

Strava suing Garmin over some patented features which few runners might care about (imo) is going to be disastrous for the former.

I wanted to run a 10K last evening but rains washed out my plans. So I made up for them by running this morning.

I'm not a religious man, but I don't disrespect anyone's faith.

The most disrespect and disregard that I have seen for public in general these days is coming from people who are more religiously inclined, especially during this year's festive season.

I understand that hardovers which are being imported to India would be more expensive than their Indian published paperback and hardcover counterparts, but why are the kindle editions not priced for less in India?

Last Sunday, I managed to capture this beautiful scene at the Kanteerava Stadium in BLR. A few moments before my half marathon was about to begin.

Just look at the details: how the backdrop and the floodlights really bring things alive.
