We outline how we trained & supported people living with HIV to conduct & analyse online interviews during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We conclude that intersectional, person-centred care offers an approach to respond to the needs and aspirations of people with HIV.

This formative work has also helped shape the design of a health coaching & social prescribing intervention.

We identified three interconnected core narratives in focus groups on living well:
1️⃣ an unrestricted living
2️⃣ emotional sexual health and intimacy well-being
3️⃣autonomy of health and healthcare

Persistent and pervasive #stigma underpinned narratives shared.

🔸We wanted to understand the ongoing concerns and challenges for people living with HIV in England, and what 'living well' with HIV means.

🔸We undertook focus groups with 37 people living with HIV & interviews with 20 people who work in roles supporting people with HIV.
