The article is advocating more men move into female fields, like childcare, teaching & healthcare to be role models. How is that bad? I’m a single mother to 2 boys. I would love it if my elementary school had more male teachers. I see nothing wrong with this article.

There is something weird with his wife. He brought her to his interview meetings with Senators. Also to meetings with foreign leaders, against protocol.Something very weird there. I wonder if she is taking notes & keeping track since he’s likely drunk sometimes and can’t remember???

I pulled back from Target when they stopped carrying stuff I needed. They leaned so far into home decor I couldn’t find essentials. Like I needed an alarm clock. Nothing. Couldn’t get a shower curtain or tablecloths but they had 300 throw pillows. What little I did buy ended with the boycott

I notice most covers slow down the song, to make it more pleading. Dolly’s original always feels like she’s speeding up her singing to catch the music. It feels frantic. You feel her desperation, like a hurried conversation. She only slows down as she says Jolene’s name, which makes it haunting.

There is a great tik tok of a mom making her son, home from college, make his own dentist and Dr appointments by phone. People laugh in the comments but I think it’s great she is teaching. My boys are 9 & 6 and almost never talk on the phone. It’s a lost skill!

OMG this is horrid. How is this happening? Those are people. I don’t care if they were all guilty of murder (I know they are not) no one should be treated that way.

Your grocery store bakery doesn’t sell them? In mine you can buy them individually. All the rolls, bagels, and cookies can be bought separately.

The new Duck Tales on Disney + 3 seasons and very interesting with mysteries and an over arching story once you move into seasons 2 & 3. My 8 yr old loved the series and it’s surprisingly funny. It took me a minute to adjust my thinking given my history with the original, but once I did, it slapped.

My 6yr old running out of piano class to tell me he “crushed it!” He’s been having a hard time in kindergarten and starting piano has been such a lift for his confidence. He was so proud of himself, which was wonderful to see.

Coffee cake is top tier dessert. Criminally under rated. Perfect compliment to a cup of tea. My mother always had a coffee cake just in case company stopped by. I buy one when I’m missing her.

Must be hard for vendors too. We’ve been instructed to terminate some contracts. I’ve been at this a long time and have many contacts. I feel bad for them too. At least I’ll get a severance if RIF. They could lose their companies.

It sounds like he wants some kind of direct award but Verizon could protest it. The FAA operates outside the FAR due to special authority. But they still have to follow their own rules. I saw that the people at FAA wouldn’t sign it and now it’s at DoT to handle. Probably because he’s clearly wrong

cancel for convenience you usually have to state the Government no longer needs the item or it doesn’t fit the need. If you turn around and buy something for the same purpose, it shows you lied. They can protest the new award. Here he’s saying it’s cause/default so new RFP okay but need proof.

I work in federal acquisition. The Government can terminate at any time BUT there are rules and the vendor is entitled to settlement cost. You can’t T4C and then turn around and reprocure like this. You can’t terminate for T4D without proof. Verizon should sue.

The firings happened over a holiday weekend. My employees who were let go filed Tuesday and are being denied b/c their letter says it was due to performance (lie). Contractors are seeing terminations and laying off 1099 employees who don’t qualify for unemployment.

Wage Grade, who are people paid by the hour rather than salary GS employees. They are mostly tradespeople. Think mechanics that work in Army depots repairing tanks.

I think they absorbed the budget for USDS. They took that office and absorbed it under DOGE.

I award federal contracts for a living and have been saying this for 2 weeks. They don’t know the difference between estimated and obligated dollars. Don’t know what an IDIQ contract is or how the ceiling works. Don’t understand how options work and how they can remain unobligated. Jokers.

Not just there. Fed in NJ and work with lots of gov & private industry folks. Everyone is cutting back spending. We all worry we could be unemployed. Dramatic cuts in personal spending. A recession is coming. You can’t scare 2.5m people and think the economy will keep humming along.

Fed employee in NJ. Thousands of us. Over 300 just in my building. Dark times for us just trying to execute a mission to serve. Every VA hospital or out patient clinic is the federal government at work. You get rid of us, you’re firing thousands of doctors and nurses.
